    Recent electrical changes...

    - 5 Strip LED Indicators front and rear

    - Bandlands load equalizer

    - LED Headlamp... P/N: MS-0057B (LINK)

    - Attitude Inc LED Tail Light

Initially everything was working great and I've done a couple of short 10-15Km trips.

Today I started her up, no isses and rode 2-3Km and turned her off. 10 minutes later turned ignition... nothing. No lights, no light on speedo. Cannot recall what status of alarm was. I turned igition on and full the main fuse... ALARM activated. Put fuse back in and it took around a minute to to stop. Think I hadn't walked away far enough and back to dissengage. Turned ignition on.. all ok and bike started.

Road the bike around for 10-15 minutes, stopped for fish 'n chips and bike started ok.

Road home which took around 2 minutes, stopped in front of garage and flicked high-beam switch.... engine died.

Would not statr again and didn't want to annoy neighbours  so wheeled into garage. Turned ignition on and only light on speedo came on.

When inside and watched NRL final and now writing this.....

About to research... one might be earth, but just a hunch.

    Any thoughts????

Played around at lunch. All two pin fuses ok. Cannot check multi pin. Cleaned all contacts.

Getting weird results on alarm... the 'key light' solid red.

Disconnected headlight... no voltage on main light, but do have 12VDC on the parking light (two seperate spade connectors)

Disconnected loom to rear lights at connector under seat and also disconnected the Load Equsaliser.

    --- still no joy.

Removed tank console and played with wiring.... lights on the stip indicator assembly now.

The codes showing up are D1121 and B1122... doesn't mean anything as I've got the rear indicators disconnected.

I put stuff back together when I get home and see what gives.

It's interesting that I have not had the tank console off for a couple of years, but do have a custom cable from fork ignition switch loom to new switch I installed on tank console.

Thanks for the feedback... put everything back together and checked codes... all clear.

Once I put the fuse in, the red security light stayed on. About 45-60 seconds later it started flashing as it should. A point of interest, when fitting the Bandlands Load Equaliser, the fuse must be removed and no power on the bike. That is probably so the ECM doesn't get confused.

Now it seems to be working ok. I'll take it for a run later tomorrow or Wednesday and see how it goes. Might just need to rewire the ignition (hoping so)...

Murphy's Law, I priced a couple of weeks ago a 2013 complete console with switch and loom $900 and then decided against it. Maybe it's telling me something. Some may recall it caused grief at Edenhope back in 2010.. smoked a little when I had a short. Used some wire as a main fuse to get home (via Horsham; Echuca; Albury and then Melbourne where I purchased spare fuses)

Here is a video of light sequences when I turn ignition on:

I remember that Ho. It wasn't a little smoke, and you used some green earth cable that you got from Mick...

Ho, you posted D1121, Do you mean B1121 as that is Left Turn Output Fault, & B1122 is Right Turn Output Fault.

I put eveything back together bit by bit, checking performance after each piece was connected starting at front of bike to rear.

Once everything was back there were no error codes and everything worked ok.

I started playing with switches and wires and when I moved wires in the looms between the steering head and the tank everything shut down. Interesting given it was high beam switch which cause problem in the first place.

Had a look in the the gland entry at side of steering head and pulled the plastic cover from underneath and it was a mess. I guess that's what happens when you have had tank off a few times and on fourth set of bars.

Anyway, after playing with wires a bit it was difficult to determine the problem. Seeing as I was able to only see the light on the speedo and no clock or anything (like when you go to 'accessories', I figured that was just some residual loop so decided to target the ignition wiring. Bike is ten years old and I also noticed insulation on wiring is getting hardended. I purchased a waterproof automotive connector and used a piece of three core to run the wires to the ignition switch properly. Besides, the wiring extending the ignition to the tank was really just a roadside fit at Edenhope back in 2010 and I never toutched it since even though the tank has been off twice.

All works ok... played with wiring and it didn't cut out so lets hope the cable was the problem.

Next time I have the tank off I'm going to spend some time sorting the looms to bars and tank... perhaps next winter.

Tanks again to those that offered comment... appreciated.
