Hey fellas..I have had TTS since 2012 and after a computer crash I thought I had lost my original map..I was messing about today and found an MTE. file with my vin no and the date about right for when I installed the TTS...Could this be my original map and is there any way of knowing other than putting it in my bike and seeing how it runs??

    Cheers...

If it's an mte file and it has your vin in the file name it has to be it.

It will only "restore" to your original factory calibration if it is your saved .mte file

I have seen them "lost" before on the death of a laptop , lucky you found it

Thanks for that..I did a restore with it and it was accepted by the ECM but I didn't try to start the bike with it.. I also found another MTE file but the date on it was way off so I think that was one that I saved from the bike 12 months later..

Hey fella's...Just put my cams in and set up flight recorder to vtune...Did a run and loaded in the new tune, plugged the flight recorder back into bike for another vtune run but it didn't record anything...Do I need to set the flight recorder to vtune after every run???

I can't remember and not at home right now but print out the instructions from mastertune website as theyre really clear and easy to follow. I always had it with me when fiddling with the tune. The latest version now has an easy way to tune ignition timing?

In addition, if you don't upload the recording, flight recorder will start a new recording each time you start your bike. - Rob

Thanks Rob,only early stages of tuning at the moment so I will basicaly convert every run into a new tune and put it into the bike..Before flight recorder, before you accepted a tune there were 2 squares of cells that would pop up and you could see the changes but that doesn't seem to happen with flight recorder or am I doing it wrong?? This is the first time I have used my TTS in about 4 years...EDIT ...After plying a bit more I found what I was looking for...

Hey there Hilly...I have done about 6 runs...I have the final tune in my bike now and it runs great.I finished up with a few yellow cells and a few grey cells but mostly white. When I get time I will do a few more to see if anything changes.

The cam is good and I really notice the difference over standard, did it all myself and used the existing push rods etc so when it fired straight up I was a little relieved. The Bassani Road rage is really loud since the cam went in so I am thinking of putting the standard pipes back on with slipons so will have to tune it again if I do but this time around it seemed much easier than when I first got the TTS..

They do come on early Hilly...I haven't been for a decent run with them to see when they drop off so time will tell...The flight recorder feature makes it much easier than trying to cart around a laptop and the new features in the programe seem to help...

    Cheers...

Just an update for those interested...I had lost my original mte. file after a computer crash..Just recently I thought I had found it so ordered a PV to try a different tuner and to see how it goes.It wouldn't pair to the bike and kept saying it didn't recognise the file in the ECM so the mte. file I found obviously wasn't the original. After thinking I had done my money(would have kept the power vision in case I updated my bike) I looked on the TTS web site and they now have a rescue file that restores your ECM back to an unlocked state so I gave it a try and now the PV is all set to go...Happy days...
