Hi all , me and 5 mates are leaving Melbourne next week and heading over to Lakes Entrance via Bright then on to Noojee before returning to Melbourne  .

Should be a great time away riding with mates and maybe 1 or 2 cans each night !

has anyone else done this trip , tips ? accomadation is sorted so hopefully weather will be great !

heading up this Friday , looks like the weather is clearing but may still get some snow up on Hotham !

Interesting quote ? Some tyre troubles ? Weather would have been testing as well. Beats staying at home though.

What is the story with that bent(?) rim? Wow. And snow? Wow, again.

 The rim and tyre damage not suprizing to see,some of the roads havent faired to well after the heavy rains.I saw some ripper holes in the SA / Vic roads when on the Nat ride up to Moama and on the way back into Adl.Bit of local advice may have helped me also avoiding some towns which coped the brunt of storms and flooding thanks Chriso for the heads up after your experinces on your way out.

 

 

yeah , snow was full on !!

i can tell you a 250 rear tyre is no good in those conditions ( aqua-plaining at its best )

damaged rim on the street glide ended his trip coming into Lakes Entrance ( squared up a rock at 110km/h ) hopefully he will be back on the roads this weekend ( f@##$$%g insurance companies )

1100kms 4 days /3 nights and alot of shares in JD - good times cant wait for next trip

ps - the look on old mates face at the BP in Bright when he asked where we are headed , gold !
