Hi All,
Have heard on the grape vine that Harley are stopping there production of the v rod. Is this correct ??
Any body in the know.
Thanks.
We get them for 2017 then no more,
according a dealer I speak to.
What about there ugly babys the 750 & 500?
The water cooled Revolution engine is cleaner, greener and much more emission compliant than the air cooled. Sales outside of the US are extremely strong, and the dealers l have spoken to have indicated the disappointment in not having a transitional bike for those stepping off high powered Jap bikes into cruisers. Without it, the current 2017 range looks quite average and not that exciting. Loss of the NRS and Muscle for those wanting something with a bit of grunt will only hurt the single brand dealers.
Yes even more so. I'm not likely to use a big 40k tourer as a street bike that can't punt around corners. The actual bikes on the floor that are the every weekend ride line up is looking average. There is not a single feature on the M8 engine that has not been around nice the dawn of time with other manufacturers, and Harley are charging a premium price for it.
The only positive is the lack of available stock has driven the price up on s/hand Vrods in the last two months. People are getting ridiculous prices for them. Guys at Halrley Heaven said a similar thing will happen to the rods that occurred with the Softail Customs when they stopped production. Sky high prices for unmolested standard units.
