I have tried several chrome polishes over the years, Mothers Crome polish is the best I have used up to date, non abrasive ...gives chrome a deeper look than it is after plating...afterwards I use Meguiars quick detailer to seal it..water beads off..and for the paint Meguiars Gold Class. It is expensive but hey its our pride and joy were talking about and cleaning products should not be an issue.

i just wash my whole bike with mild detergent, rinse it off, dry it, wipe over chrome bits with clear windex.

whole bike wash only takes about 30-40 mins and comes up like new even after a long ride.

    Cleaning procedure:
Ensure that is at least one carton of something in the fridge - beer/jack etc
Survey the cleaning job as you consume 2 or 3 drinks - NEVER rush into this task or you will miss bits
Clean the bike - with Purple polish and Mr sheen (careful on the seat as it makes it slippery). By this time you should have consumed a further 3 or 4 drinks
Pack the cleaning gear away except for a good clean polishing cloth which can be used for those last few touches and whilst admiring the job down another few drinks.
This can be done alone but it is good to have a like minded person to talk shit with and solve some of the worlds problems

I haven't used the purple polish yet, but I have tried many things and WICKED was suggested by a truck driver and it is awsome. Autosol for stubborn stains but the Wicked is easy to put on and polish off. Turtle wax for the painted surfaces.

I got one of those mechanic seats on wheels to scoot around the scoot while cleaning and that makes it much easier.

Either way a drink is an essential part of any cleaning job.
