Just looking through used cvo breackouts on bikesales and when its a standard breakout with tuner, pipes, air filter its referred to as a stage 1 Its seams the same work done to a cvo 110 is never called stage 1... why is that Thanks bloodog
91 views no answers maybe a silly question Read on here somewere hog could be moving to the larger donk to combat the supper turner debacle So just thought 103 stage 1 with super tuner 110 no nead for super tuner just add the pipes and larger air intake ??????
There's CVO Breakout and CVO Breakout Prostreet. Both 110ci and have the upgraded breather, slightly better pipes, plus a whole lot more for your $.
The 103 Breakout does not have that stuff. Take into account there isn't as much aftermarket bits and bling for the Breakout as do other models.
Not as popular in the USA.
As far as the larger engine is concerned, the 2017 model year sees the new engine in the Touring range. Maybe next year in the rest, who knows?
The tuner thing, well, that's a whole new ball of wax. The Screamin' Eagle Pro Race Tuner is no more in the uSA, though still available here.
How long it will be supported by the MOCO is anyones guess.
If you change pipes, cams or other engine performance parts on either a 103 Breakout or a 110 CVO Breakout, they'll require some form of re-tuning.
The CVO offers great value for money IF the bike, as it presents itself, trips your trigger.
If it is the engine alone which entices you, perhaps look to the slightly darker side and consider a Softail Slim S or Fatboy S. Yeah, I know they're slimmer arse ends in comparison to the booty on the Breakout.
