I took my bike to a "Harley Mechanic" not a HD dealer for my bikes first service.

I had bought a PC111 and a Hypercharger, and I asked them to fit these while doing the service.

In the afternoon I get a phone call from them saying the PC is faulty and it keeps cutting the bike out, so I say ok just take it off.

When I get there they say they found a broken wire and re soldered it and it's now working.

Get the freaking bill $600  ride away, look down and my spedo is not working, turn around and take it back. Service guy play's around with the fuse's and cables and still not working. ( I am really pissed off at this point )

So they say I have to leave it and they will have it fixed next day (Friday) and give me a shitter to ride home on.

Friday afternoon and still no call from them, so I call for the bad news....... It will be ready Monday.

Monday 11 am I call and they say a electrician is coming to track the problem...Monday afternoon 4.30 I call and they say he didn't come and he will be here Tues morning.

1.30 today I call these fuckers because they never call you and find out that they have worked out that the sensor on the back of the gearbox has gone. They are going to call the local HD dealers to find out if they have the part and will call me back ... I call back 2 hrs later to find out that no parts are in Sydney but there is 1 in Melb. He then asked me if I wanted him to get it up from Melb. ( insert , $^%$%^%^%% ). and I say make sure it's overnight.

6pm I get a call saying there are NO parts in Australia and I'm best off taking the bike to a HD dealer and getting it fixed under warranty.....

Am I wrong to be pissed off ?  I also get the fealing that they have NO fucking idea about bikes. I amost want to take it to a HD dearler and get the service and tuning done again.

    Sorry for the rant.

    Paul.

    PaulC,

Welcome to the world of Harley$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Unless I knew indie well and my bike was out of warranty I will get all work done by a authorised HD dealer. That way you get the dealers warranty and HD warranty, particularly if they supply and fit parts. HD dealer workshops generally have all the required electronic analyzing equipment to set up ECM & EFI and trace faults etc.

Hope ya gets on the road soon.

Walked into Fraser's today and asked if they had the part in stock.

Answer = YES . I have the part now and I'm taking it with me when I pick up the bike.

Lets see if he will pay me the $ 100 for the part
