Hi all...Ive seen the Victory range,And i must say they are one shmick looking bike.VERY well finished bikes,And clean looking.Harleys competitors are fucking Harley up the arse big time,About time i say.Harley is falling behind in every conceivable way,And fast.Harley has no choice but to lift its game,Thats good for Harley loyalists.Competition is good.

Wonder where they came up with the name Victory? Curious if it was because of Triumph.

Had a very close look at their range before settling for my Street Glide - Yep a good looking range with plenty of appeal ...............but I felt aspects of their bikes were very Jappa - take the switch gear for example - looked & felt cheap.

My SG has that made in USA feel - not perfect but solid & dependable in every aspect. The Victory did not.

Well Victory has just purchased Indian, so it will be very interesting to see what they do with that brand. A cheaper Indian Scout model priced around the level of a Dyna, packed with Victory running gear, reliability and build quality would give HD the shivers...

i would like to see a Harley thread last this long in the VOG (Victory Owners Group) forum...if you don't like Harley good for you and see ya later...I'm sure you will be welcomed in any other forum on this earth, they all seem to bag the crap out of Harley's....fark if everyone hates you , you must be doing something right....and lets see if Victory last over a 100 years, either way i couldn't give two farks if they do or don't.

Wow, this is incredible..... I logged onto www.hdforums.com.au and it took me straight to www.victoryforums.com.au

oh....hang on......there is no victory forum.....maybe this is something that partciular people might do. Make their own forum and keep themselves busy somewhere else....
wonder how long it will take to reach 100 members........

Mate bought a Jet Ski (read Victory) after he sold his Harley, he was a staunch Harley man before it and would hang shit on others (jokingly) for not riding HD. Now when we hang shit on him his sole reply is 'C'mon, let's line 'em up'.

Funny how people think because they plonk in a big donk and that its made in America it must be a great bike.

was in Melbourne last year and had a few hours to spare and thought 'what the heck, I'll head on down to the Victory Dealership'. Jumped on a tram and hopped off opposite the dealership..... then I thought 'what the fuck am I doing'. Hopped on a tram going the other way and went to Harley Heaven....

In the 1st quarter of the year Harley sold around 1500 bikes in Australia

Victory sold 61 in the same period.

I don't believe that this will have HD shaking in their boots as some would have you believe................I do believe that HD are still keeping an eye on them though.............you carn't make me believe that HD don't know anything about marketing!! their record speaks for itself!!

Nothing wrong with a little bit more competition to keep them on their toes!!..........even if it is just another ugly lookin Harley copy!

My two Bob's worth - I thought this was a Forum for Harley Owners, not Harleys. If the only bike you ever look at is a Harley you are doing yourself a disservice.

If you are so "one eyed" and passionate about your Harley, reading about anything else on this forum will vindicate your position and make you feel good about your personal decision to own a Harley and nothing else.

If you are a little more broadminded and can look beyond the Milwaukie product then you will enjoy being informed about what else is taking place in the motorcycling world.

That's Win/Win for threads about other bikes, particularly american manufactured VTwins (Victory, Indian etc), and small "Niche" motorcycles in the local market that someone such as BenHunter has poured their heart and sole into compliancing in Australia.

For the record, I have owned a Harleys since 1982 and been a died in the wool HarleyHolic since long before then, however at the same time have owned a Merredin Triumph and currently own a Hinckly Triumph. I also have a Motoguzzi and Norton in the shed, along with a Yamaha PW80 and Suzuki RV125 that belonged to my Dad.

Personally I reckon this should be a forum for "Motorcycle Enthusiasts" that encourages discussion about other products in the marketplace - particularly since it currently freely allows members to slag off and complain about their Harley however seems to baulk at discussing alternatives . . . . . . This could be a new "Section" - "Non Harley Discussion" or something.

    Rant over - I have been on the UMCWA poker ride today and have now kicked back and had a couple of Sherb's. I'll post some photo's of that later . . . . . . .  (There will be a couple of non-Harley photo's - hope that's OK . . . .  ;)

I have to say I will be giving Victory a look next time I buy a bike, I have ridden most bikes over the years and I am a believer that if its got two wheels then your riding, I have had as much fun on a 100 dirt bike as I have on my harley, just something about riding that I like,

I will when I purchase my next ride look into Victory and make my decision then, that being said I will ride my FXDWG 2010 into the ground so I am thinking its at least 10 years away yet, so plenty of time to think things over,
