Does anyone know about the V Twin Victory? Had a look a Daves at Burliegh Bars. How does it rate against Harley, I just heard there is a dealership in Melbourne and also Mackay. I have been told 2 will be opening on Gold Coast, Brisbane.

Been told that Ralph "Sonny" Barger owns one.

Victory is owned by Yamha and most of the bikes had design help from Arlen Ness

Hey that's cool Pizzlin, I thought Indian had stopped production a couple of years ago. I know they started back up but then ran into financial problems.... so you're saying they are still in production?

I've only seen pictures of them and i recon that they are butt ugly(and a big butt at that). They seem to have all the good gear and might be ok to ride from one side of the USA to the other but around the hills and tight corners looks a bit big and to much plastic on it. My 2cents worth but i havn't seen one in the flesh.

Gotta say i like the Indians a bit better. They also do have some sort of clam to heritage as well, though i guess thats in name only.

Now if they can keep their shit together and not go bust we might have a more intresting, competitive maket.

I like them but sticking with my Harley.... I bet the resale won't be there when you do try to get rid of one. They don't have a dealer network and haven't got creds here.

Hey guys, after reading the last few posts I'm a bit perplexed... I love my Harley but I don't ride it because of what other people think and certainly not because of a perception it makes me cool. We should all agree Harley is not the bike it used to be, build quality etc. in fact they are building bikes to please baby boomers who after 30 years want to get back on a bike.

Victory has been around for 10 years in the states and has 350 dealers there so they're doing something right, I started the post to get imput also I think we should be accepting of the idea that just maybe someone can build a quality product and those that choose to ride it are no different to you or me. They love to ride big V twins and meet with like minded people.

    Cheers

if competition makes HD put decent suspension and brakes on all models then its worth it .

Ive seen the victories up close and they are nice but they aint no HD

still ,I wouldnt mind a ride on one
