Howdy good folks ... well it took me awhile to get there but finnally got around to putting on a set of 2 into 1 pipes { Bassini 2 into 1 Road Rage } on my 08 Softail to add to the already vast amount of after market goodies i have lavished on the old girl .

When last dynoed she was pumping out a touch over 100 Hp with a touch over 108 Torque ... not the best but far from the worst figures ... 106 cu S&SBarrels and Pistons ... 79 cc Super Stock Heads ... { might have been better going down the CNC Port and Polished Heads but hey that life } ... 585 S&S Cams ... 50 mil Screming Eagle Throttle Body with the Stock injectors put back in ... Power Commander 5 ... and at the time a set of 2 into 2 Freedom Independence Pipes .

Now with the above mentioned Bassini`s , remapped by the boys up at ProCycle Dyno in Brisbane she is now thundering along at 111 Hp and a quite nice 120 Torque

Gun to head i still like the looks of the 2 into 2 pipes when it comes to Harleys but when the Gods of Performance are screaming at you then one can only last so long before giving in to knowalge of far more experinenced gents than myself .

To be fair i do quite like the looks of the Bassini`s and with a 11 Hp / 12 Torque Gain then i think they have earnt the right to stay on ... for now at least , Lol

Will this be enough to satisfy me power wise ... God i hope so money wise and i know the missus hopes so as well , Lol

Hi guys ... Bloodog yeah a definite power improvement that's for sure .

RMAC ... mine aren't the Stainless ones ... they are the chromed short version ones with a small little difference ... when I got them they came with the polished cone on the end , I wanted to break it up a little and purchased the Black end with the polished cut outs ... very simular to what one can buy for the Harley Breakouts but for some reason this was not a option for the older Softails .

I've not long had mine back from Fred. Mines a 95" with 10.7:1 comp, Top End heads, s&s 585's with a D&D lowcat 2-1. Started off with a modified cv carb made 104/109 then swapped the cv for a 45mm Mikuni now at a best of 111hp and 113ft lbs. She's a fun bike to ride now. Fred and Jamie are the best. Jamie thinks it'll make a bit more with a stepped header style pipe but this will do for now.

TD302 ... nice figures from your 95 that's for sure ... have you ever seen a more busier guy than Fred ... no wonder he shut up shop on Saturdays ... Jamie might be right , would be interesting to see what came of a different set of pipes .

Took me quite awhile to get around to fitting a set of 2 into 1 `s ... but like Bloodog above eludes to , you are the one riding it and if you like your bike a certain look or sound or whatever then more power to ya I say .

Me , it seems I like to see how far my wallet will stretch before it screams out enough is enough , Lol .

Haha yep always busy as. Was there last night till 7pm with a mate getting his drag Harley sorted, never stops working. I was the same with my pipes. it went in with big radius 2-2 and only made 96hp 106ft lbs then tried his supertrapp went 107-107, also tried a Arlen Ness F Bomb he had and was worse than the big radius. I picked up the D&D off a Facebook Harley page. The HP was a bit lower than supertrapp but mid range and peak torque was better. I like to the 2-1 now. Figures are pre 45mm Mikuni, carb change picked up 7hp and 2 ft lbs however one run did put out 113 ft lbs.
