I would try a couple of US websites like Revzilla to see who makes what, the cables are not cheap from HD. Are you planning to do internal wiring?

cheers walka , i have decided to go with the chiseled , going to check them out on saturday ,

Does anyone know if I need to change the Throddle and cltuch cables ?

I would think i need to extend the wires.

I looked at the burley kits but they start from 12 inch which will be too lond for a 8inch rise bar

    any suggestions ?

From standard 48 drag bars? You might be okay. I put mini apes (10" i think) on my Iron and didn't need to extend throttle cables, but did need to extend clutch and front brake - only just though. Options wise I went with the Burley 12" kit which yeah might be a bit lengthy if you're going to 8"

Thanks noctum. Yes from standard. The burley kits start from 12 inch . So it will be way to big. And harley is a rip off. Its funny cause a standard is 4 inch rise . The aite days 8.3 inh rise but i soeak to people and they say they are 12 inch rise . They look way bigger than 8 inch .

I'm negotiating on a Nightster that has chiseled bars which will be the first thing I change if I end up buying it. We could work out a rate if it eventuates. I can send you a pic if you like?

    Hi Monstarr,

Mines a Nightster and love her. But changed loads and now love her more. Wires, which look great, for alloys, which take tubeless, and unless you've had a tubed let go it won't worry you, until it lets go. Once and once was enough. Change the brakes, front suspension and shocks, and she'll go round corners and stop when you want her to. Put an an air cleaner on, which dh's probably got, and a decent exhaust (and maybe cam) and she will go. Nowhere near as quick as my Z1000 But for an old cunt shits load more fun, as I can ride her to the limit. Enjoy mate, sports are so much fun.
