Ok - some advice if I may

Ive got a 03 Fatboy carbie version .

Fuel is leaking from the air cleaner when the bike is parked and dripping all over the floor of the garage  .

its odd as its never done this before .

my thoughts are

- its related to the float or needle not shutting off correctly

- Ive shut the fuel tap to the off position (fuel still leaks outta the carbie into the air cleaner and down the frame and onto the floor)

whats got me most stumped is the fact that the leak is occcuring with the fuel tap in the off position

My thought was is if the  tap was turned off then the fuel remaining in the carbie would leak out as the fuel taps in the off position

So how do i stop fuel leaking from the carburetor  and why does it do it (like am i on the right track here with my diagnosis)

Sounds like your on the right track Kato, take the line off the tap and make sure the tap is actually turned off, if that is ok then it's carbie off .

The leaking after the fuel tap is turned off is the fuel in the hose from the tank to the carb draining through and out the carb.

Almost 100% sure its the seat in the carb. Just pull the carb and remove the float bowl and inspect...90% chance there is some chit in there keeping the seat open, so feel free to spray carb cleaner into the seat and see what comes out the fuel hose attachment end. I once found a 1" piece of swarf in there...lol...
