A couple of things to do on fathers day, Fingers crossed the Weather gets better
Bad Boy Bobbers are my local bike shop (2 kicks of the footy from my place) and I can't say enough good things about Wendy the owner and their service and willingness to help out above and beyond what a lot of places do these days! I often just pop in for a chat and a coffee and will be on the fathers day run for sure!! Hope to meet ya'll there. Look for 30's lookin dude with rats tail on chin and faded brown Belstaff wax cotton jacket striding an iron with white lettering on tyres.
Was an awesome ride from bad boy bobbers!! To Hastings by the water for a bbq then on to Arthur's seat for a great tribute to all fathers with us and departed and finishing up at a caffe in Dandenong. There would have been (guesstimating) 80-100+ Bikes/people that thinned out as people went to other places along the way at various stages of the day.
I
Bikes parked all the way down the street the photos don't show the mass of steel parked from the departure point or do justice to the quality of some of the variety that was there.
People kept coming in after I took these and was well and truly chockers by stands up.
Here's a few folks at the bbq towards the end just before leaving for Arthur's seat
The view from the Arthur's seat look out.
One of the standouts I had the pleasure of seeing was this beast of a bike that was quality from the paint right through to the smallest nut and bolt!!
Thanks to;
Wendy of Bad Boy Bobbers (well worth a look at their online store as they are constantly developing world firsts in the way of kits and parts for yamahas and also carry a lot of quality stuff for your HD needs) sorry I haven't got a link.
The Wanderers for everything they put into making this event happen and run so smoothly.
Rotary club for their presence and great feed.
The bloke (name forgotten- sincere apologies) from Christian riders who led the wishes for all fathers in a really nice way that everyone religious or not appreciated how he said what was needed to be said no more no less- spot on mate!!
All the peoples and groups that I'm not aware of or forgetting putting in their time and efforts in!!
For putting on an awesome day with a great family feel where good vibes and good people were the most apparent feature of the day and a great tribute to all dads on their day!
Good stuff, I ended up going for a ride with the girl friend down to phillip island
Looks like it was a great day.
That V8 looks like a bit of weapon! is it a Boss Hog?
Yes it was a really nice day that bad boy bobbers put together for everyone and they really are a great place to checkout if you've never been there. I'm very lucky to have them just round the corner (5 turns of the wheel away) as they are very old school in the way of service (they acctuattly give a shit about their customers) and if they haven't got it they'll get it in for you and are a leader in development of products that they've developed inhouse and are not available anywhere else (ask them about the details) as they design new parts and kits that are really brilliant in thought and execution (I'll leave it there before I sound like an advertisement). They really are good people and a breath of fresh air in the world of bike shops (we've all had bad experiences with dodgey shops that see dollars walk through the door rather than a customer)
As far as the beast of a bike - I'm not sure as the owner wasn't there for me to have a word with but here are the other pics that I've got of it. Hopefully this will be enough to tell what it is. I did see a local-ish builders logo on some part of the bike leading me to think it was built by a chopper shop or part built at least by a builder.
Actually as I was loading these pics up I saw boss hog on the top right of the first pic on the tag of the black thing on the top of the engine guard bar. I'm not farmilir with boss hog stuff apart from briefly seeing some stuff when I googled "biggest production motorbike engine" and read a blurb about it. At 10,000cc it's not a bad size engine! Wonder if I could fit one into my iron? Lol. Looks like it's been jazzed up by some local builder though going by the builders logo (forget which part it was on but was up the front) on the bike. The NOS system would add a real punch to the thing and I reckon you'd have to tie yourself to the bars to hang on.
So anyways I highly recommend coming to the next event bad boy bobbers have on and definitely worth going to the next Father's Day ride!! ?? Brothers and sisters.
