did this a few days ago and thought I'd share it. Since paints gone on I've done 450 odd K's on these tyres and been through water, dirt and bush scrub. 160kms also and its held fast after these speeds so far. Sorry bout the night shots. I'll put up a full shot in the sun tomorrow if I remember ??  All done with this oil based marker $3 off eBay.

Seems to really pop even in the dark. Easy as to do with a steady hand just paint the raised lettering

on your tyre. It's like the BF GOODRIDGE white lettering style and looks like a thin white wall when

ripping along the bitumen. It's on a '14 iron and looks like it belongs. Day pics should show this look.

    Before shot - pretty bland.

hmmmm...jurys out on that for me. I guess your running the OEM Dunflop tyres?

I would have just done a red line around the tyre..

Yeah just the stock Michelin tyres that were on her outa the dealership. Was originally set on white walls but am happy with this as its a happy medium for me between blacked out and a bit of an old school whitewall look. I've always liked white lettering on cars and it's such an easy little mod for anyone who digs this kind of thing to do to any lettering they have on their tyres.

Looks cool. Back in the days of B.F Goodridge Radial T/A's and Bridgestone Steel Belted 60's we used to be able to buy a specific type of crayon to do that.

Was it a permanent thing or would you have to reapply the crayon every now and again? Do you know if they're still around?

I seem to recall my first roadbike, the trusty XS250 Special way back in 1984, had white lettering on the rear tyre. I might have to drag out a pic from the archives.

I had a different pic of this pen in the original post that I got on eBay for just over $3 but seeing as the tip is rounded it does make following the edges a bit time consuming.
