I know this is kind of sacrilege but has anyone put a towhitch on a breakout? In an ideal world with unlimited funds I would purchase a tourglide and put a hitch on that, but, a Breakout is what I have and that is what I need to put a hitch onto.Planning an 8 week round OZ trip next Feb and would like the convenience of a trailer. Any suggestions...polite ones??

Trevaye Enterprises in Bendigo can make custom tow hitches to suit bikes that don't have off the shelf tow hitches available.

Thanks GeoffSDMN. Checked out the link and shot them an email to see what they've got. Can't take the bike to them (in Perth) so hopefully they will have something in stock.

I have a Classic Tow Bar that I used for at total aprox 8 or 9 weeks, ( including 5 1/2 weeks Lap of Oz) on my 2011 FXST.. I have it listed on couple diff sites on Face Book. I also have a Kuryakyn Plug n Play wiring kit. wanting $250. plus postage. The Wiring alone was over $100. from USA. Tow Bar was $500.. So cheap at $250.. Should bolt onto your Breakout. Mounts to Pillion peg mounts, & up to a plate that sits behind the Fender strut.

Can email pics, If interested, PM details

Thanks mate. Post some pics if you want. The problem is the fat-ass 240 rear tyre on the Breakout means most standard Softail fittings will not fit. Cheers.
