Im impatient.. always have been, I have owned about 2 breakouts previously and have been considering getting another as i went to a Diavel and it was fun but im over it now..

I can get a good deal on a 2016 Breakout, However... In the back of my mind, I know the 17's are out in a few weeks, and they are going to be more expensive..  and there is the obvious rumours about the new motor.. I have been told by 2 HD dealers that the 107 model will NOT be in the Breakout,  I have seen the colour chart for the 17 models and there are some nice colours coming out.

The Breakout is getting the CVO 14 model contrast Turbine wheels, That is the major change.. but expect a 5% price increase..

if i wait 2 weeks, the bike im keen on which is a custom bike , custom paint etc , brand new will most likely be sold.. and the 17s will be more expensive.. hmmm so frustrated!

Thought your wideglide would be better suited to the Tassie corners than a breakout H&H?.

Maybe it is and you are getting a B.O as well?

War Daisy, I. Y. A. M  yes you are crazy if you have already had 2 brakekouts and a Diavel, fucken crazy!, no doubt about it. Must be raining bikes around your place!.

It would be smart to wait, as if the new motor comes out in the 17 , will get new 16 even cheaper in a few months. enjoy the Darvel!! I think i would fall asleep riding a breakout after riding a Darvil.

They have never released a new motor, or size motor, or abs, or new gearbox into all the models at ther same time.

Rumour or not, I highly doubt a new motor will be in more than one or two families of frame. The only pictures I have seen show tourers.

    Cheers,

Before it was taken down, the Revzilla post on the issue discussed the new engine only going into one or some of the touring models, with the 107 being used more in other models from 2018. Who knows if that's true but sounds as plausible as anything else. BTW -- got a copy of the colour chart?

Probably be worth keeping mind that some other announcements in conjunction to the 107 and 114(?) could come too: perhaps some new tech (suspension from the 90's vice 70's?), or more S models or something. Perhaps a look at the potential mod's a 107/114 could make would be interesting too. As flagged above, there may also be price rises across all or part of the range too.

To answer your original question, I'd ask in return -- you thinking with your heart or head? Heart says buy this custom you dig, head says wait a bit for more info on the 107 and a better deal on a 2016. Keep in mind if the 107 is restricted to a couple tourers, perhaps HD won't be doing any massive deals on 2016 stock beyond what they do every year.

For mine, I'm glad that I'm not planning to trade up for a few years yet. Plenty to be done to my HD yet. And I'm loving what I have. My 2c...

The quality control is only going to go down hill.
    Unfortunate but true.

Wait till the 17 comes out and save more on the 16 ,,, my mate bought the 16 a week after they came out , next day i bought the 15 same model for 3500 less they were only a month or so apart from build date Regards resale ,, If you ride your bike ,and put klm on it , its not going to be worth anything anyway regardless off a year apart

I'd either buy the last of the sixteens for reasons stated above. Or wait about nine months to hear proper reviews on the seventeens with the 107. Ive never bought the first of anything right away- others with more money than me can do the beta testing

Sorry fatbat, not you, just using your text, it's the question, should I do ........ or should I buy ..... what colour should I ......

I can understand people asking for feedback on products, it's the uncertainty of the persons asking as to the real question, do they really want it

I think they most crazy question asked here is
I am buying my first Harley, What type do I get?
