Apart from age I'm wondering how The 2016 Roadster would go against a 2009 XL1200. I see the ground clearance for the XL mobile is 40*/39* vs 30.8*/31.1*. Ground clearance is 5.80 inch with the older bike vs 6inch clearance on the new mobile. Tank holds 3.5 gallons on the XR vs 3.3 on the Roadster. Wieght for the XR is 580Ibs vs 568Ibs. Power delivery is slightly better as well. So i'm having a look at a 2009 XL 1200 Sportster to purchase, the price seems right, just wondering how these bikes compare, Parts avalability for the XL. I'm sure there are a few riders on this forum that has owned one or has good advise this, cheers

Wozza , you missed a few important points.
The twin 11.8" floating discs, USD forks, and emulsion shocks with more suspension travel (4.5" front , 3.2" rear).
