Riding with FOB in my jeans pocket and the red alarm light near the speedo needle comes on for half hour or so then goes off and on every half hour to an hour. Is the FOB stuffed ? 2012 Fat Bob.

it's telling you, the bike has a fault code. maybe intermittent.
It can be checked with SE tuner or Power Vision or if ya really clever you can check it from the speedo(not sure if the newer models still have this option)

Next time you are riding and the red light comes on, push the front brake lever forward and if it's the same problem the light will go out. It caused by the master cylinder sticking just a bit which gives some free play in the lever. The wind pressure then pushes the lever back taking up the free play which then allows the brake light switch to activate. You can check the code from the dash display, it will be under the BCM faults. Think it's something like 6602 or similar - can't remember exactly off top of head.

 

 

Checked the front brake lever and the brake light was staying on. I'll bleed them tomoz. Cheers !!!!
