My 2014 Streetglide is stuffed at 14000kms. Seems the main bearing has failed. Wondering if Anyone else has had issues?

Ozbernie,, if it has been confirmed you have a major component failure ,(transmission/main bearing) , on a late model with low kms, my first question is ,, are you still in warranty ???? If so, I think you know what to do,,, If not, (and you would'nt be that long out),, is go to dealer and see if a deal can be worked out on price to fix things ....
You question re ,, do I know of any late models tranny problems/issues ,, No I dont .... I have a 2009 Glide in the garage with 122,000 kms, with no issues to date....
I dont wont to seem to be taking the piss,, But its like when the Chinamans horse dropped dead,,, He turned around , and said , it has'nt done that before ..... Good luck sorting the problem out .....

I had an inner primary bearing failure on my 2010 Road King at about 30,000km. What are you calling the "Main Bearing" Ozbernie?

The bike has been ridden across the Nullarbor and back twice.

Apparently long runs at high temp is what kills them and my bike has done several forty degree days back to back, stopping for little more than fuel and food.

The chrome particles took out the primary chain in the short time between noticing a noise and getting it replaced.

No Issues since.

Mine did the return spring inside the box. Gear lever remained in first gear , had to be towed to dealer. They knew what it was before i even got there!
