Some would say it's better to not to buy the 1st version of a product and my brain says that makes sense. And my head says I should be looking around next year for a good deal on a run out TC touring model rather than one with the new donk in it, but I tend to do stupid shit when I see shiny new things so not set in stone... *watching these rumors with lots of interest*
Also... if next year is the last year of the Twin Cam motors (and they're only in Dynas and Softails) are they going to be 110 or 103 HO?
Or a mix like now?
Pics of the engines that will be released:
I want one ! Breakout ...Maybe ...Roedking carn't afford the cvo
Was at the dealer this morning, and they had 4 crates in the delivery area (it's the same area where you drop bikes for services).
I asked if those were the 2017 models, and the service lady said no, they were the last of the 2016 models. They had to move those and then wait for the 17's. I made mention that the floor stock looked a little thin and she said yes, they were being told to clear as many 16's as they could as in August it will be very difficult to move them.
I asked if that was because of the new incoming 107 and she got all sheepish and said "what 107", but with a silly grin on her face. I said "what 107 my ass" and she giggled and walked off.
Not really a confirmation, but probably as close to one that we're ever going to get I guess.
Also had a chat to the apprentice that brought me back to work, who got a little uncomfortable when I turned the conversation to the 107. I didn't poush the poor bugger, but the body language alone from those 2 suggest that there's something in the wind. Interestingly he was genuinely surprised about the 131, but didn't flinch at mention of the 114 in the CVO.
It's from another article that has been removed. A very quick google yields this:
http://motorbikewriter.com/2017-harley-davidson-107/
Where the 131 is mentioned. But stated previously, the 107 will be 2 variants (the 107 and 114), with scope (or ability) for Harley to go to 131, which may appear on models as the years progress or some very limited models - yet to be determined.
A more enthusiastic search shows that most other links have been removed...

found something new today.
The 107 is apparently not a 4 valve, it's still a 2 valve?

*edit*
Video of the new CVO Street Glide 114 being ridden around a test track.
The new motor seems to gain revs quicker and (from the video sound at least) has less 'mechanical' noise, dare I say it... it sounds a bit more 'Japanese'.
