So.. I'm not all about black black and black with a hint of gloss black and I'd dearly love some chrome rims for my 2015 WideGlide.
A few people have mentioned its just cheaper to purchase the entire hub/wheel/spoke pre assmebled wheel from HD than to just replace the rims with aftermarket.. What say folk on here? (keep in mind im mechanically ..err.. 'limited';).
Are certain brands better than others?

I am looking to change from chrome to black... I'd do a deal, but the Wide Glide won't fit Street Bob

Looked into exactly that also for my '15 wide glide... (not a fan of black rims)

Then thought, how 'bout alloy rims laced to my existing hubs? (less unsprung weight & pretty cool looking?)

Only mob I could find that does alloys in W/Glide sizes were Central Wheel Components in UK..

    They list... MORAD TC Alloy 21" x 2.5" x 40 hole (111.25 uk pounds) & 17" x 4.25" x 40 hole (141.67 uk pounds) + 100 uk shipping.

This equates to A$620 odd just for the rims.

I bought a chromed alloy rim from HD Wheels in the U.S with a set of stainless spokes. Was expensive but top quality. You could also get polished aluminiuim ones for a bit cheaper.

Only thing is you have to lace them up. If you can play the guitar as your avatar sugests then lacing up a rim should be a piece of piss.

Alternatively Walka on this forum from VPW might have a satisfactory option for you.
