I replaced the battery in my 2005 Roadking back in 2009, its coming up 7 years old now and has never let me down, the only thing ive done different is the bike is always connected to a CTek when not riding.  Im not sure how much longer I can trust it for starting ?........................ Back when I had my 1996 Wideglide it was normal to replace the battery every year lol

 

How old is your battery ? 

My 2010 RK got about four and half years but then I got caught out and it died on the bloody Queenscliff ferry. And it was always on a trickle charger.

For some , its like asking ,, "How long do you think my marriage will last " ,,,, But I will have a stab at a good average battery life ,, between 4 and 6 years .... Of course , if you really, really get on with your battery , you may get longer !!!!!

I think for the cost they should be replaced after about 3-4 years. Better than getting caught out. Have seen a couple go now and they were usually fine one minute and dead the next.
