Looking at more changes... turning more chrome into black.

All this plus the fender struts are going in for powdercoating. Standard HD is gloss-black, but I was thinking either matt-black or the HD-wrinkle-black

    This is the current look

after I removed the rear fender I got to thinking.... should I also cut the fender and install new tail light

JFE commented in a seperate post "Yep, black is the way to go! Which colour do you think you will go with? Depends on 'the vision' I suppose. I've found that a bit of gloss black and Matt black across the bike works nicely."

I saw these strut covers online and liked the look. Thinking wrinkle finish might be too abrasive and overcook the look

not a clear photo, but like this matt finish

Just not sure about wrinkle finish

For my additional 2c, I'm not 100% on the wrinkle black strut either. Gloss for the win (I love my gloss black struts).

Perhaps a different way of looking it is to swap out the belt guard for a gloss black one therefore easing the amount of 'wrinkle' on the eye? I have a black RSD one that is a bit like a Sportster guard and it looks primo IMO.

Now cleaned up the headlight... although still need to paint the headlight mounting post (and wash the bike.. lol)

The new light changes the look completely (for the better). Looks more modern and menacing. I like where you are going with this Uncle Ho!

Looks good uncle Ho. Looking forward to seeing your before and (finished) after pics.

Bike looked pretty good at the start too. Same silver superglide as a mate of mines

Did you have to get the chrome stripped off before Powdercoating? Or where they able to just scuff the surface and have it come out alright? Have heard different things from different PC'ers

the light is certainly an improvment, been asked how it compares to HD's Daymaker... not sure but here are pics of the light in a lit street

    LO BEAM

The pictures don't show a lot of difference, but it is noticeable. You can see the difference in reflective signs and directly behind the car.
