I have a 2015 street glide to lock the ignition I push down on the switch then turn the key

Give the handle bars a little wiggle when you turn the key to lock the bike .... Same when you unlock the bike .... It just gets everything in its sweet spot with regard to the ignition internals ...
I have heard of guys fight with it , and damage the internals after awhile .... A small squirt of WD40 , or similar, down the key hole once in a while wont hurt ... Hope this helps ....

Push down then lock with key. You may need to jiggle bars as mentioned. They can also be a bit tight from new. It all came good after a few goes at locking.

The dealer should have showed you that at delivery time. In saying that none of us "experts" mentioned turning the bars full left.
