As the topic says should you drill an 1/8" hole in the slide or not. Seem to be so many conflicting views  on this?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Don't .
If you are serious about tuning, get a Dynojet kit. (not the thunderslide kit)

+1 daddyracer Have mine done with appropriate jetting and engine mods. Mite be over kill on a fairly stock engine though.

thanks for the reply guys. Looks like I'll have to buy a new slide cos mine has been done by previous owner.
I'm just wondering if that is why my throttle is like a hair trigger cos any small bumps and it gets
    jerky

A simple fix is to fill the hole with some decent epoxy and re-drill .
Another thing that may have been done is a softer slide spring.
Also make sure you have the correct play on the throttle cables.

Run a small tap through the hole to give the epoxy/JB Weld something to hang onto.

Current thinking seems to be leaning away from drilling the hole larger.
