Yea,, there is always chatter this time of year of what the new models changes will be ,,, ie,, this year will they be standard 110 ?? ,,, will the CVO's be 120 ?? ,,,, what will be water cooled ??? etc, etc ,,,,
If there are any major engine changes, a lot of people will say, dont buy the first year of the changes until the bugs are are worked out etc ,,, If you are in the market for a new bike, you end up never buying a bike , always waiting for the chatter to say there are no changes this year, (which never happens), and a lot of us are'nt getting any younger !! ..... Its always interesting what changes may take place ,, but I think the best bet is to wait until the middle of August ... and more importantly, what is coming to Oz !!!!

Mark Harley Dressers have water cooler heads with the 110, i have been lucky enough to look at the heads off the motor, great design as looks like air cooled they have a radiator for each head with thermo fans but they are hidden so not noticiable & barrels are still air cooled.

Would not be water cooled heads on a Softail so probably oil cooling,

It'll be interesting to see how they handle water cooling if that's the case.

The CVO Road King has fairing lowers but in my opinion they look strange without the batwing fairing, they just don't suit the naked/screen look of the Road King.

And if the Street Glide is going to have lowers then it's going to lose it's stripped down look and go closer in look to the Ultra.

Unless there is a new type of water cooling system...

There was a link I found a few weeks ago that has a new engine for 2017. The link wasn't sure if it was a single cam or 3 cams, but he was adamant it was a 107 and it was coming in the 2017 models.
The more checking I do it seems the standard engine might be 3 cam, with a hi po version being quad. not sure if the hi po version is legit, first I have heard of it. Apparently the 8 valve head makes for easier EPA compliance - better swirl and combustion.
The more I dig around the more likely it seems it's happening - 107, 8 valve heads.

Will they still be internal combustion engines?

Heard a rumour they were going to the external combustion type with turbo nuclear reactors.
