    Hi,

I have a '13 FB Lo. Bought a HD branded Sissy bar and small rack for it. Sissy bar and rear guard brackets are all quick release. Local shop says you need the quick release mounting kit and the blinkers moved outwards (another kit). Ok then. $130 later I have these 2 units/kits.

Problem 1. I have nothing to remove the Torx screws. My 1st Harley. Had it 5 seconds so know nothing about them!  Aaarrrgghh! I own 1 torx screwdriver from another car!

Problem 2. The QR kit is simple enough but the re-wiring etc for the blinker extension is a 5 page info sheet. Oh! It looks a bit out of my league in that, yes, I can probably do it but I may stuff it and root the bikes electricals, etc. OK Mr harley, how much to do this job you've done a 100 times this year? $270! FAAARRKK.

So does anyone know any business on the sunny Central Coast NSW (auto electrician I guess) that can do it, or are you able to do it (and I'll pay you!). I was prepared for $150 not $270. I said to the shop guy Id bet it'd take less than an hour. He agreed which was funny!

Sure theyre a business and need to make a profit, but $270?? Really? I guess if no one here can help then I'll have to us them but let's see.

    Cheers,

    GT

You can but a full Torx socket set for about $30. plus a ratchet, Should be able to just lengthen the wire of the indicators. But why do you have to move blinkers? Have a look at where the Sissy bar quick release mounts, which is the 2 bolts on the Fender bracket.

Hi, thanks. ebay for the torx set?

"Guru" at the Harley shop said I also need the extension kit?? I'll go and look at it and check whether it needs the clearance that kit provides. Wont be the first or the last time a shop person can't read!

    Thanks

This is the turn signal relocation kit you need. I had to install a kit on mine to allow the quick release sissy bar to work. Was about $60 AUD by memory

This video shows how to install it extremely well
