Hey folks, there's been some pretty shitty weather lately and I for one have been hanging out to get some more k's on the clock and thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone is keen to do a run from Melbourne to the spur for a buxton burger and back (or onwards if the mood strikes). Anyone interested in an easygoing ride and a chance to put some faces to the names please feel free to come along.

Yeah it'll be a cold 1 but it's the best day we'll get this week unfortunately.
If nobody's keen perhaps bumping it to the next Saturday might be the go but
I'll be heading out in any case if there's any takers for rugging up and going out
for a bit of a challenge, builds character ????

Heading for the Brass Balls run with the SA boys this weekend, now that should be cold.

I wish you luck brother, my buddy's based in the grampians and said that it snowed there last week. But we gotta get out kicks some how out on the road! Bit of wet weather gear incase and some warm gear and all should be well. I do agree with Walka that it's a matter of how much is too much vs getting yer fix and the warmer weather being as far away as it is I'll take what I can get for now. Have a great run mate and keep the rubber side down! ?

I'll have to butter the missus up and get back to ya tonight but it's not looking good at this stage as I was aiming for a day trip but I'll see if she can be persuaded. Now where did I put that bottle of vallium........

I'm gonna have to take a rain cheque for multi day rides this weekend like the brass balls run but am
stoked for the invite. If you want another rider on any upcoming events/rides I'd be happy to tag
along but unfortunately I'm only able to do a day run this weekend due to ball and chain pushing the
honey do list on me. Even if it's snowing, the roads are made of black ice and the rain is hozizontal I'll
get away for a day ride to escape the ever growing list of demands... I mean house hold to dos imposed
by the boss. Hopefully that will buy me some points for a decent road trip.

Yeah I'd bring her for sure but the weather is a bit of a deterrent for her till the warmer months. I'm definitely keen to get more involved in forum based rides as long as there is no patch vs patch bullshit going on and that's all left behind for the right times and places. Where are rides like the one your doing listed on the site? I was looking on the Vic rides section and didn't see anything listed?!

NR, it always pays to keep an eye on on the different state rides, the national section.

The SA crew are very active, so quite a few Vics sneek across to their rides like the Brass Balls Ride.

Anyone can post a ride like you have. Just put in the starting point, time, bit of the route to and from, and points where others can join the ride. If you are good with cutting and pasting Google maps you can always whack in a copy of the route for info. Lets people know so they can plan.

Because this is a forum and not a club, 'patches' don't create an issue because we have a logo, not a patch and if a patch wanted to come along I dare say they woud not wear it.

That's great Knackers thanks for the heads up on the other states/rides, as far as the patch comment goes - I had a pretty messy situation on a fire I did in my younger years when there was club friction and there was a pretty serious clash that went down that effected a lot of people that were there in a family capacity. I've got no problems with patched riders as I am friends with a few club riders but choose to steer clear of the politics etc. thus the question about what the atmosphere is generally like esp if I'm gonna drag the lil woman with. Sounds all good though and I'm keen to get more involved in the community here as there are some really friendly folk I've spoken to on here and would be hilarious to ad a few drinks to the mix.
