Check out an article on Motorbikewriter.com speculating that a private equity firm is poised to try and take control of HD, with ensuring negative consequences for the Harley faithful. Dunno how much is bs or a real concern. Thoughts?

Interesting times ... was shown that news story and wondered how the rank and file would take the news ... KKR , I think is the investment firm , pretty renowned as a big take over company .

Rightly or wrongly back in the AMF days the rank and file were none to happy about nearly loosing the Harley brand ... from a lot of more informed people than myself it was actually a saving grace when AMF took over but still to this day normal Harley owners from that period of time think of it as the worst era of the Mother Company ... time will tell I suppose ... that is of course if there is any truth to the latest story .

Hmm that is an interesting one , this mob seem very focused should they decide HD fits what they want.Only time will tell as the motor trade is something a little quirky to people who dont understand passion/loyalty and brand recognition...

stock went up 20% in one day = mission accomplished = sell
