Hi,

I have an 86' heritage that has a gearbox whine in all gears when I de- accelerate. Can anyone shed any light on this problem.

My moneys on omething loose in there (belt chain whateva). When you accelerate it's all under load, but you decel and once the gas comes off it's slack again.

Also,

Double check that its not your bearing in the inner primary case. I have a slight whine in my 86 as well, but have totally new bearing ion the tranny so am not leaning that way.
