Well lets just say that expectations should be considerably lower on this bike than previous/existing rides. Lets hope he can leave KTM with a few decent rides.

Agree, I think its just for the sponsorship money he may bring with him.  Its certainly not for the skill levels.

To be honest I don't really understand what exactly Yamaha are trying to achieve, the i4 has not been competitive for awhile now.
Unless they put their development v4 into the GP bikes for testing sometime in 2025 what's the point of 4 of them doing laps?
On a rainy day Jack will likely make the current yammy look good because he can but apart from that scenario and without squeezing more speed out of a fat bike it's gunna be disappointing for everyone.
I'm glad he got a gig, I really am, and having spent 20 years living in his home town there is probably a bit of bias on my part hence my ongoing support but 2025 will be his last year if nothing changes I'm thinking.

Seems like their v4 will make a appearance next season so Jack may well be handy for the technical input having ridden nearly every other v4. Yamaha are going with many bikes with a eye on rapid data acquisition being the goal.

Jack crashed out on the first lap bringing several others down.

Stewards didn't penalise him for the crash, guess it was one of those things.

Well keeping his record up he's crashed again in practice for Jap GP....now needs to go thru qualifying 1 to hopefully get into the top two to progress to qually 2 to get a decent grid position........nah ain't happening.
KTM team mate finished in top spot and rookie KTM rider in 4th. KTM righ up there in the top speeds as well at 314kph and 315kph....best Yamaha was 308kph

Not all joy either after a good start did the very predictable race backwards....  at least he was upright for a change.

Its well overdue for him to go sadly, its not hard to see why KTM made the call on his future.

And that's where i don't understand as a racer he knows he's going to be even further down the field than he currently is on a far more competitive bike. Anyway guess he knows why he did it.

Beggers cannot be choosers....  no one in their right mind would offer him a seat (and who says that Yamaha are sane...lol)

Ha Ha its got me stumped why he never went to WSBK, he would have got good coin and a competitive ride and been in the top tier fighting for podium positions but i doubt we will even see him circulating in the bottom third of the field in Moto GP.
