See the circle may well complete.....tip is Jack back to Honda next season. He should quit moto gp if he loses his gig and get a competitive ride in Superbikes. Getting a factory gig at Honda is not a win at all.

    That was great 😁👍

Kevin Schwantz - my favorite rider from what - for me at least - was a golden era of racing. Bags of natural talent, but was never quite as polished as Rainey, Gardner, Doohan, etc. His do or die attitude got him into trouble as often as it got him out of it. Very entertaining rider.

Its interesting to see the cornering styles back then compared to current.....knees on the ground back then and its knees and elbows and occasionally shoulders

I've got scars on my right knee, elbow and shoulder and ankle from riding like that. Of course I was busy falling off at the time.
You can tell by the scars which way I was sliding.
Then they hurt like a bastard for 3 months, now they help remind me who I am.

I'm guessing if you were hanging off a 500 like that, you'd probably quickly find yourself on your arse when you opened the throttle after coming off the brakes :-)

Yeah it's not a "modern riders have more balls" thing, they rode those things at the limit of the machines as they were back then, if there had been a faster way to do it they would of found it.

They do that so it's not so far to fall when they come off ........

Its kinda true when you see them crash its more of a slide down the road rather than thrown down the road via a highside crash. Both still happen but low sides out score high sides now

A bloke I knew clipped a piece of concrete that had fallen off a truck or the like, straight bit of road doing 60kmh on his honda, he highsided and died right there, you can be very unlucky.

Vespa are looking for a test rider... I put Jacks name forward.  He may be under qualified, but what the heck.

Its an artform alright.  no way would i have the sensitivity to tell how close the bike is to slipping out.  then again they get paid a shitload of money to do the job!
