    Howdy,

Just got my very 1st Harley. I'm 50yo and been into Ducatis for many years. Tired of my balls being crushed and my neck cracking and clicking due to the riding position on the Duke. Let alone my rooted back being more rooted whilst on it. Minister of War and Finance said, "why don't you get a Harley and then I could get on it too!" God bless her! So the bike's a 2013 Harley Fatboy Lo with Screamin Eagle bits such as:- 2 into 1, tuner, air cleaner and some other bits n bobs to make it a bit different from the norm.

    Catch you around! :)

Thanks all. Yes some nice roads around here. smiley

Sold the Duke to fund the Harley (and I had leftover $$$! lol). I can now afford a few more mods or bling and I'm happy.

Looking for a small sissy bar to suit if anyone has one?wink

Gotta listen to the 'Minister of War' / 'Manager of Finance' / 'Holder of the glove of love'.

P.S. Are Dukes worth THAT much ?

Whereas old Dukes are sky rocketing. Bought mine for 8K 10 years ago. 21K sold today. Maybe rare very old Harleys are going well but nothing like the old Dukes.

It was an old Mike Hailwood Replica. It'll keep going up in price whilst the Harley will slide.frown But I bought the Harley for ease of riding.smiley

Welcome to the forum. The Fatboy is a bit different to the Ducati. When the other half is happy, all is well.

Getting used to the riding position is.......interesting.surprise Dropping my feet down onto the pegs? Nope. There's nothing there! lol. They're in front of you idiot, not below! My feet are sometimes floating in mid air whilst I figure out where the pegs are. I think I need those floor board ones as well.

Lots of power and much more comfortable than the Duke (of course). Cornering is also something I have to think about more until I get the logic fixed in my skull. Going slowly, so no probs there until I get it all sorted! Need to get out on her more, but at least it's easier to start and to get going when I want to!

Very few riders can do the twisties hard on a Harley mate. Bloody hard. Theres a video on here somewhere with a Harley rider scraping his knees round bends and staying on. WTF!

Another great bike. Norton Commando I assume. They had the Slimline frame I think.Use to sit on the highway at Berowra in the late 60's and watch them go by.
