    Dyna Switchback
Read the reviews, looked at the pics, looks like a small Road king with the same 103 donk, all used bikes priced very well
Dyna frame Quick release bags and windshild
I recon a set of short loud pipes, cam upgrade, single badlander seat, beach bars this could be the bike for me .....cruiser / pub bike
Seems like there is something unpopular about this bike, have not seen one in the flesh yet
Any input would be appreciated good or bad

    Thanks bloodog

I've got one, it's a good bike for day rides and works ok for light overnight trips but it needs modifying if you're going to use it for serious touring.

I fitted a rack and got a Saddleman rear bag (the panniers are small), the screen is low so I fitted an MRA top lip, the shocks are too soft when you load the bike up so I fitted Progressive 444 and the seat is pretty ordinary so I replaced it with a Mustang Wide Touring seat.

If you use it for day trips and the occasional over night trip it'll work well, if you're loading up to go around Australia either travel light or be prepared to modify the bike (or buy a Road King).

None of the above means it's a bad bike (it's not) but it's a dyna and dynas just aren't as comfortable when touring as the touring bikes are.

    No problem blooddog.

Can't blame you thinking about Road Kings, I wouldn't kick one out of my garage.

Father in law brought one around Christmas time, from all accounts it is a nice machine.

He likes the screen/bags for when this missus is with him, and said it only takes about 5 minutes to remove it all when is going out alone on it.

Nice compromise between a full tourer and a solo style bike!

The FLD is a great bike, specially for a short arse like me. Like all bikes a few mods to make it your own. So far I have fitted a quick release Batwing fairing with stereo, Harley cruise control (fully hidden) and SE 204 cams, de-catted header pipes with SE Nightstick and Air filter and the usual quick release back rest and carry rack to keep the misses happy.
I find it to be a good bike for the long distance runs.
