    In the process of converting to chain drive. Trans nut is giving me issues. Ive had an electric snap on impact driver on it, breaker bar with metre cheat bar. Nothing. The fuckin thing wont budge. Im thinking pneumatic rattle gun will pop the slut? THOUGHTS PLEASE!!!

    Are you doin git in the correct direction....I 'think' those nuts are reverse thread.

    Are you using a locking tool.. Or are you using the brake and gears to lock things down ??

    Locking tool. Home made. F clamp locked against swing arm.

    Breaker bar, put some wood against it and wack it with a hammer. Sometimes the shock will loosen it. And mark the nut with a permanent marker, so you can see if it's moving, even slightly.

    Use a dremel to cut of the nut

    cut it in two halves they are loctited on, need heat to soften the Loctite but this puts the seal at risk, I just cut them straight of now

    +2 You can tell by looking at the exposed thread. Left hand thread looks totally different (lol - I suppose thats obvious)

    Im telling use its a RH THREAD. Ill post a picture lf pulley and manual. Anyway got it off with air impact gun, no heat!

    Started doing that .? They are lh thread on older bikes My be that's why they have
    Gone to the trouble of casting in the pulley .

    Had a look see on good old Google and apparently 07 up 6 speeds are rh thread

    Maybe next time put what bike and year you have   Of the thread lolsmiley
