    Would my reasioning be correct
I would be better of when buying a used bike cvo { 110 } and all the bling that comes with a cvo
Than a bike similar in price give or take 2 or 3 k and year but with stage 4 up grades
Becouse the cvo is not worked but will have lots of ponies but less problems and longer reliable life

I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but with some of your help the bike world aint gunu roll me

    as allways ...Thanks bloodog

Everyone here gonna say the CVO as most think they the ducks guts but not me, i reckon they are over blinged and overpriced..

Plus ya still gonna have to do somethin to the 110 to get her cranking anyway IMO.

Id buy a cheaper everyday 103 or 96 and spend the bit extra on making it yours and getting the engine cracking.....

I guess it comes down to personal taste and how ya ride, a lot would be happy with the stock power of the 110 i figure.

I'm with Chriso, I'd rather a stocker and use the difference in coin to make it go fast & make it pretty. I am however very partial to the blue CVO Road Kings, that's about the only CVO I'd spend me dosh on I reckon.

Very interresting, a spanner in the works is the bikes I am looking at are a 2008 cvo road king bike sales: Ref Code SSE-AD-3865577
and a 2011 stage 4 road king on bike sales: Ref Code SSE-AD-3980983

I'd pick the 2011 purely on the frame change made from 2009 onwards

BD I don't think you could go wrong with either of them, both had thousands spent on em, both been looked after, both low ks and both look shit hot!!!

Good luck with that one haha...

Might come down to whoever gonna budge on price for ya

Edit. It's a good point deadly makes and one I'd forgotten about.

I have sat behind mates on the earlier ones, not pretty lol

Only thing with that 2011 is it's claimed as a Road King 'Classic' whereas it has a Road King Standard decal on the tank plus the front end looks like a Road King Special, doesn't have passing lamps etc.

The 2011 seems like a lot of bike for the price. Spent some serious money on it, low keys as well. I haven't seen the cvo yet but I like the idea of the later model bike and a stage 4 seems to be the go. You should get good milage with regular service and some nice Highway use and then you want the noise, the cvo will be behind you.

Grab the stage 4 mate and make sure you carry plenty of oil with ya.

I just rode to Darwin with mickle and I had to top up with oil and check the petrol most of the way on my stage 4. lol

As stated it has 75,000 on it but in saying that all the ones I know of have been known to use a bit.

Guess that's what ol mate is referring to.

    Standard 110 can't keep up with a 103HO.
Like it, lump it. The choice is yours.
The 110 motor is a lug. Heavier piston weight makes it slower to get going.
    My 2 cents

CVO 110, find someone who can deck bottom of barrels, as stock the pistons don't come up high enough to get the chamber to work, deck it from bottom of barrels, piston comes up higher in bore. seen it done & gave bike torque curve like a diesel & it flew!! good bye 103 plus a fat heavy road king needs Torque in bulk as what does HP do?

It really comes down to basics. Want to spend mid 20k on a bike and then throw another 10k at it or get someone else to do the work, then the misses decides to leave or get a bun in the oven or two, then it's time to sell for a people mover. This is what the owner of the 2011 Stage4 bike gave for reason of sale. 20 000klm is fuck all. The bike looked great and i'm sure the reciepts are going to add up to $20k plus.as the owner has stated. Makes good sense to work with your strengths.
