Thought I'd sign up before I buy the bike...in the market for a new Road King, Just deciding which way to go with the purchase. 

I've ridden dirt bikes for many years, did a bit of road riding as a young man and now looking to do some touring.

Seems like a good forum, looking forward to gaining a bit of HD knowlege.

I trust that you have settled on the RK after test riding it, as well as other models.

If you buy a new one, remember that you will be paying for the accessories.

A good way to go is getting a demo that is tricked up or recently new with the goodies, as that will save you a lot of money.

It is a buyer's market at present with a lot of great, near new bikes out there.
