Gday folks, new to the HD scene. Got '16 48. Are there alternatives to purchasing slip ons other than my local HD shop? Online shops? Just after slips ons for the moment. I'm located central coast nsw

    Cheers, justin

Plus ask around about the various brands etc as they are all different from a noise and performance perspective. If you want pure noise then V&H would be the way to go, but the downside is that every man and his dog runs them. What I did was to look at similar bikes around the place and online and when I saw some pipes I likes I just asked the bikes owner about them.

You can get away with a pipe change and not have to tweak the fueling or the like, but once you add a free flowing air filter then be prepared to look at a Fueler of some sort (and they range from $150 to $1500), although you will notice an improvement straight away..

    Thanks dudes,

Regarding buying overseas, what's ball park postage?

And yeah man, I like different too. I'll be wrapping the stock headers and just doing some basic slip ons for the minute. I do like the straight shots but not on chrome

I've also used m and m cycles lots. Good prices, service and fast but reasonable shipping.
When buying overseas, you save on postage if you buy in bulk as long as items don't exceed $1,000 aud which attracts import duty

+one to what the other guys are saying m+m or from eBay us If the local boys can get it it will take weeks
For you to get them A lot of the time thay take your coin than order the gear which takes a lot longer
Than going direct there a lot more efficient on service in the USA most of the time
