How do you remove the catalytic converters from a 2015 screaming eagle slash-cut muffler?

Is it necessary to remove the baffle?

I have the screaming eagle shotguns I think. The cat converter is in the baffle. When I recently cut the converters out, I removed the baffles, and the hump area housing the converter I cut, with a thin 100mm disc on an angle grinder, an almost 180 degree flap out of the hump so I could access the converter. I dug the converter out, then welded the flap back into place. The converter was a fucken prick to scrape out and remove because it is somehow stuck to the sides of the hump area. Gave the bike a slightly deeper note. There are you tube clips on doing it.
