Just wondering what changes are made from a 88 softail frame to 97 softail frame? Any help would be appreciated

Oil filter mounts to remote filter mount on early frames 89 to 93 , I think the turn signal modual mounts to the frame on the later ones Under the speedo/ dash mounts And up to 95 I'm pretty sure there's a mount welded between the upper and
Lower back bones that the wiring plugs/ plug into to mount apart from those few things. Which arnt a big deal there the same
Apparently the early 84 are slightly narrower due to chain not belt drive and you can run a early Tc swing arm on the evo
Frame to run a slightly bigger rear tyre and twin spot rear caliper

What is the biggest tyre an early soft ail can accommodate?

160 with std guard before you have to cut the strut horns off plus 1 1/8 belt.
With the strut horns removed 180 is the norm.

I'm in a pickle I've spent 2 years building a custom softail springer on aftermarket frame but have no MSO, it's based on a 88 softail but can't register now unless stripped back to bare frame and X-ray done one welds, but can get a hold of a legit 97 heritage frame so might get that and just spent the countless hours again stripping it and bolting it all back into the new frame
