Hi All,

I'm running the big spoke Attitude rims from VPW and I seem to be having a lot of issues with surface rust. I started noticing it about 4 months after I got them fitted. Now I'm having to spend a few hours each month hand polishing to keep the rust off. 

Anyone else have the same issue? Is it just these rims or do other big spoke brands rust easy as well? Is there anything I can do to keep the rust away besides polishing a few times a month??

I got a DNA 80 spoke x 21 front but I powder coated the spokes, no issues with the spokes obviously but the rim needs to be polished every third or fourth ride

I have just ordered a set for my bike yesterday.. when i was ordering them the bloke on the phone said i hope you like polishing them as they are a bastard to keep clean and surface rust off.

just amazes me that with all the technology out there we still get these little issues

if something is well chromed you should not be getting surface rust. Just make sure they come with warrenty and send them back if they start rusting.
