Here it is steelo, the quick release buckles took a little while to get here but it's all ready to go. The quick release buckles hide nicely behind the front straps and if you need to adjust the length you just move the front straps through the chrome buckles.

Ok guys, so I've ran some tests to see how the orange and red stitching would go once it got dirty with road grime. I put two pieces of leather with red and orange stitching on the frame low down so that anything that came off the front wheel would hit them. I then did 250km on the highway. But they just didn't get dirty enough. So i put them under the dirt bike and went up and around the pine forrest and fire trails in the nearby Brindabella's. They got covered in shit, even a little bit of tar stuck on the thread. So to start the cleaning I just used a wet rag and it came up great. To clean the tar of the thread I put metho on the rag and wiped the stitching and it came up like brand new. So a little metho on the stitching is the go. I'm pretty impressed with the way it cleaned up.

Hi rodrocket, the small bag is attached with three snap caps so if needed it can be removed, the water bottles have been done the same way. They are very strong and don't allow them to fall off but at the same time quick and easy to remove if you want. I have done one with buckles instead. It pretty much just comes down to what ever guys have wanted.

    Dear Paul and forumites

Received my Deuce swing arm bag today from Fire511. I was delighted with the quality of the leather, workmanship, and on this model, the plastic clips under the straps. I eagerly set about fitting it in the garage in 40 degree temp. Fits well and I now have additional storage.

What do you think of it?

Is there any chance you could do a swing arm style bag for a Fatboy at noted below ?
The feature I'm after is a distressed brown leather color if that's possible
It shows that style in the HD Parts Catalogue but when you see it in store it's "chocolate brown "- way too dark for me
So im after something with a fair bit more tan colour in if thats at all possible
    I'd appreciate your thoughts

No worries Kato, I'm checking out some new leather at the end of the week, I'll let you know what I come up with. I know what you mean with the colours. With colours their is a big jump from dark brown to cream but I've got my eye on something. I'll keep you posted.

Mate I tried to send some pics in a pm but buggered if I could do it.  This is what is on the bike at the moment and I am not overly happy with the design.  I would like to get rid of the chrome jiggers in the middle of the bib,  have a smoother leather for the bib itself not that weired looking shit, and if possible red stitching slong the side of the bib itself to highlight the tamk etc. a bit more.  The stitching along the side I would like to sort of like a criss cross pattern along the edges but in a thinner style of leather strap than what is on it at the moment. Like the bottom picutre,  I hope all this makes sense, I was trying to send you a photo of three bibs I found on the net and incorporate them all into one but Ill be fucked if I could load the pics into a pm for you. !!! Also do you emboss leather ie wording or similar like a skull or something into the leather itself.  Not like the skull in the bottom pic as Im not a big fan, but will find one that suits what I want.  Am I asking a bit much?  Thanks

Hey binnsy, I know what you mean about sending pictures in a pm, I can't work it out ether. Smoother looking leather not a problem, you could have an edge strip with red stitching like the bag if you wanted or maybe a red laced edge like the bottom pic ( the lace pattern is called a double cordover). I know what you mean about those studs, they look like shit. I could stamp a word in there for you or even use chromed metal lettering. At this stage I'm not much of a free hand embosser of different pictures, its something I want to perfect before I would offer to people, I'm a fussy prick.
