Done a search on here and couldnt find any info so thought I would post it up..............ever had a puncture in the middle of no where this may be the answer, rang the Perth dealer today and $80 bucks done at my home or his workshop looks like good preventative maintenace to me.

Has anyone on here used this stuff before, your comments please,,,,,

I've not used it but a good preventive measure is an inner tube.

I have a mate who used Slime. We found a hole in the tyre when we were at Frasers one day - they way he had parked made the hole stand out -  it looked like a big screw had done the damage and then somehow fallen out. The Slime had filled hole and allow him to keep riding without realising there was a problem.

I have never personally used it and am not sure whether it is good or bad for tyres......

I used the slime oneday on a trailer tire and was good as gold until the dudes at the tire shop changed it cause the shit is tough to clean up. Probably wouldn't use it again though.

used slime a lot in my motocross days and it worked well but that was only for off road stuff, probably would throw a tube in the HD unless I already had a puncture as tubes can create extra heat, I do carry a plug kit in me bag for that middle of nowhere emergency though.

The balancing beads would have trouble in this stuff.

Better off carrying a repair kit like Mainey88.

Father in law used to use shearers glue (like contact cement) in tyres out on the farm.

Not my style but each to their own.

Yeah mags and tubeless repair kit is better for your rims.
Isn't putting a tube in a tubeless tyre a bit daft! as when the tyre gets punctured the tube prbably will too.

Yeh, cant see why I should make the bike wear a condom.

I don't like them, so why punish the bike?
