Looking for some info (good or bad) re a self ride tour through the Rockies. 10-12 days. Anyone had any experience with the tour companies advertising the ride?
Chaser we did it in 2011, hired from Seattle HD and went over the border. Still have my contacts in Seattle and they have just got their brand new fleet Monday just gone. What do you want to know...
Did you do a set tour with asll accom already booked? Proper itinery? What type of bikesd were available? Cost? Thanks
Hey Chaser. We did an Eagle Riders tour through the Rockies two years ago. If you go to their website they have several different packages that may suit. If you search on here you will see a thread I put up after the trip. We were a group of eight. It suited us well and was all set up/ Just had to get to Canada. We hadn't been there before that so it was easy as. Trip was about two weeks with bikes and accomodation all sorted. Bikes were a mix of Roadkings and Ultras.
I did it in 14. After a lot of research we done it ourselves. Hired bikes from eagle rider in Vancouver, done the usual,whistler, kamloops, Banff, Vancouver island Island oh and into Alberta for a couple days. Was great, booked nothing, always managed to get good accomadation, prices very similar to here. Had a rough itinerary before we left but didn't want to be governed to anything, great trip would go back in a heartbeat, great pubs, friendly people and roads are unbelievable.
Yeah pauly I have been a good boy now for 13 years but after many trips to Sydney, interviews and thousands of dollars to be told no. They can get fucked not interested at all now.as I said plenty of good places to go.. Keen on going back to Italy and ride round there for a week and then maybe venture into Spain Portugal etc Anyhow here's a teaser for ya chaser
