Pretty short notice, but the weather looks good for Sunday ,and I'm keen to get out whilst the going's good. Weather permitting, going to start at the Tea Tree Gully pub car park around 10.00am - 10.30 and head off to Swan Reach via Mt. Pleasant and then Sedan and over the ferry to have lunch at the Swan Reach pub overlooking the river. Not booked, going to play it by ear. After lunch ,back to Mannum, jump the ferry back over ,then to Tungkillo, here you can cut across back to Birdwood or head down to Lobethal and Hahndorf to get back on the SE Freeway. Wanna ride?
Stuck in Brisbane workng ..... But the next week end , ooogh yeah !
Might join in at Mt Pleasant / Sedan or Swan Reach. Easier if you are planing a stop somewhere?
Sorry mate no go. Going to be wobbling around the Clare Valley for the Gourmet weekend.
Dammit!...I'm committed as of this morning..................
Sorry Winger, won't be able to make it as bike is going to be off the road for at least a few months. Hopefully will catch up early spring time.
Ah well, Soapy. Short notice I must admit I didn't expect too many to front. Be a good ride to put up later with a bit more notice. I'll put up a ride review after.
10.30 it is. See you there mate.
Can't make it guys. Have a good one.
Some brilliant weather for us yesterday for the ride to the river. Bob & I caught up with Ralph at the Tea Tree Gully Hotel, without Steelo, because we didnt find out till later he'd picked up a nail in his back tyre which delayed his start. To his credit , we caught up with him at the Swan Reach pub just in time for lunch ( which was pretty bloody nice with a cold beer) Out through the twisties in Chain of Ponds ,up to Birdwood, Mt. Pleasant and first stop, the Cambrai Hotel for a frothy. Apparently the local footy club had held it's presentations there the night before and the poor old good natured publican had to open up for us. Interesting pub, with some interesting signs! Next stop Swan Reach, over the ferry to this magnificent spot perched atop the River Murray. As I said, the tucker was great, the beer was cold ,and Steelo fronted to make the numbers four for the ride home. Along the top of the cliffs over looking the river is a great ride. down to the ferry at Purnong to hop over west side again and the best part of the ride to Mannum. The scenery along here is stunning, and will be worth getting a bigger crew along one day to experience it. From Mannum, Ralphski split back to TTG, and Steelo took us the back way through Monarto to the freeway tip off at Callington. A great ride, some magnificent weather, and always great to catch up with any of the forum boys. Around 300 kays, so a tidy day out, and the reason why you love riding a Harley. Cheers, Wingers.
Harley do a small compressor I bought for $50- . Plugs into the Harley charger cord thats connected to battery .
+1 on the compressor and plug kit. Have a small Rocky Creek Designs compressor. About $55
