Me?? Have been riding for 34 years and currently own a 2013 Slim that I ordered off a picture before they arrived in Oz, it's my second Harley. Semi retired now and returned to study so finally getting to spend as much time as I want, rather than can, out on the road. Have done a couple of trips to Cairns and more recently attended the World Recortd Attempt for Most Women down in Dubbo and prefer to throw a swag on the back and take off for a couple of days/weeks than to sit at home and think about it. I'm a single mother of 2 and grandmother of 3. I mostly prefer to ride on my own but not adverse to company if it happens along. The Slim came about through the break up of a 20 marriage...he found someone younger and I got my Harley. To date, I got the better deal by far.
The Slim?? Had V&H Short Shots added at her first service along with SE Race Tuner. Then came engine bar with mini boards, removed the front indicators and added auxiliary lights and indicators and more recently have rewired rear lights to incorporate the old school look with bar mounted run/stop/indicators.
Next?? Changing to 200 rear end which prompted my query last night re: recommended Tyres. Plan is to simply fatten the rear end but keep with the bobber style guard and lights. Currently at the research stage but will definitely be completed by July when I head north again. Am looking at several different options, generally when I make up my mind, things happen pretty quickly after that.
Everything that has been done on the bike has been completed by my son and I. We share a mutual love of these machines and respect for each other's taste...it works perfectly for bother of us. Mother/son time couldn't be better spent.
Welcome mate
Thanks heaps. Your advice and welcome much appreciated.
Welcome Jules. I reckon you might have got poor old Huddo with the gender bit, which is always hard with the nick names on here. Generally, everyone is fantastically helpful, disrespectful, funny, rude...... it goes on!
Yes ..... It's a circus !
With more than a few clowns / 'colourful entertainers'.
It's mostly 'a barrel of fun, underpinned by some very informative views. Welcome and enjoy.
Thanks guys...kinda got off to the wrong start didn't I? I'm new to these forums so hope everyone understands my ignorance.
I've mostly done what I've wanted with the bike based on what I see out there and then do crazy research...not always with success.
Have a feeling if I step outta line, one of you will redirect me and tell me where to go..thanks in advance!!
Live life today - don't wait until tomorrow ! Cheers.
Welcome Jules, I agree you definitely got the better deal by getting the Harley. See you around the forum, it's a great place for all things Harley.
