Picked up my HD WG in January but had to sell my boat to finance a few mods to get it where I wanted it. I'm pretty happy with the bike now with what I have done. It now both looks great and is a practical ridable bike compared to the stock WG.
Mods include:
Stage 1 tune / air filter / V& H pipes
14 inch apes
Progressive rear shocks 1/2 inch taller then stock.
Progressive HD fork springs with fork tubes dropped to be flush with top triple tree - raising the bike by 20mm even with firmer ride preventing bottoming out in corners etc...
Danny Grey seat for one up riding - standard sundowner for 2 up wth sissy bar and back rest / rack
2 inch tank lift (undecided if this will remain - depends on fuel enconomy)
I'll powder coat the fork legs and triple trees black one day when I have the energy.
Yeah the Progressives are great. 90% of my riding is 2 up with a combined weight of 140kg plus luggage if we travel. I went with the heavy duty springs front and back. They are a bit harsh for just me. Probably should have gone the standard spring on the rear coil. I had Hagon Nitros on my last bike and liked them as well. The standard set up looks great but is shithouse for riding with a bit of spirit in my opinion. I was scraping exhaust and frame around most corners but not now. Only the pegs and my heel scrape. I can live with that.
Yeah the tail light set up is still stock. I'd love to do the USA conversion but it would be to expensive for at this stage. Looks great though.
