Hi Guys, been building a custom softail springer for some time now but its not on a genuine HD frame, i dont have the MSO with the bike

does anyone know who builds the frames with the serial number starting with ST? i was told it could possibly be a santee frame but im unsure, has anyone else had to do this or anyone know how i could get further information on it? any help would be appreciated!

    regards

    Ryan.

I don't know what brand of frame would be ST but your in trouble with out the MSO , in the USA the MSO is the title of ownership and the frame maufacter will only give out a copy to the first owner of the frame , not the second or third , it is against the law there , you need to track down the history of the frame and each hand it whent though ,, tuff

Mate, your pretty much fucked without the MSO. All I can think is to perhaps write to several manufactures and see if they 'own' the frame number. Other than that your gonna have to get a new frame.

I'm not even sure where to start writing to different companies? What companies are there? I can't seem to find any results for a santee manufacture! How do I post a pic of the bike?

You could also contact an engineer to discuss the situation with them (Walka will know one); although do not expect the discussion to be free as their time is valuable. typically you need an engineer to approve the bike build before you can get all the Rego stuff done.

yea i have already spoken to a engineer as we are currently building a 56 f100, i think this will be the best and possibly the only way to go with it, does the bike need to be engineered or just a RWC nowadays with the new ruling for club reg in vic?

Buy a frame with a MSO and transfer it all over
