Ive been playing around with the idea of changing my bars.

Same here Norm. A forum mate bought some for his roadking a while ago and they were good quality. I cant decide on the black WO 575b which give 2" grip closer to the rider, or the 10"apes WO 578b for my 2012 ultra.
Any one have them out there and what was better for you and why. They are a good price hey.

I put the wild1 WO502 12 1/2 " apes on my fatboy last year and love them. Did heaps of research before buying as I had never ridden with them before and wasn't enjoying the mid westerns with pull back risers on longer rides.
Chrome and quality is very good, find them very comfortable in wrist angle also.
Purchased through rollies in Brisbane with new cables.

I have been thinking about changing my bars as well. Just keep in mind you may need  to add handlebar mirrors depending on what bars you use. Would rather stick with the stock mirrors if possible.

 

 

 

 

I was thinking about rolling the standard 8" bars on the Ultra because I need them a little closer but that would also drop the bars lower which I dont want.

The 10" Chubby will get the bars closer and I can not see the extra height being a problem.
If anything it should be more comfortable with the back rest making me sit more upright anyway.

As Graz said, if you have streety mirrors on the batwing, the extra height make the mirrors almost useless.

And with the 10" bars on a 2012 flh, All the standard cables still fit do they? I don't know but I think they would. Anyone know.

Even the wo575 would be good for me. 2 inches higher and closer is all I need, but the 10" look better maybe?
