G'day, some technical assistance required, bike has been running well., however after a 500km ride, I felt a miss under load going up a climb during the ride, 300km into the ride this time just throttle off going down hill, engine cut out, tried to cluth it with the momentum, but nothing, came to a complete stop on side of the road, turned ingnition off, then just re- turned ingnition on, and it fired up.

got home, stopped with engine still running, only to open garage door, engine stops again!, have not been able to restart!

check for spark in plugs by cranking over engine, but nothing!, had new leads tested, but shows they are good.

can the battery be the culprit?, if the battery doesn't have enough charge will the plugs show no spark when engine cranked?

battery allows blinkers and headlight to work, so I presume the battery power ok?

any help appreciated, I don't have any electrical metering tools.

Yes it cranks but won't fire., the bike is well looked after, over serviced you could say, I've owned it for a year, so I thought maybe the battery, no providing enough power?,
Electrical stuff and me are not friends! And local mechanics charge 100 big ones @ hour!, no offence to mechanics, or workshop expenses, but it takes me a few hours heavy work to make that, so hence my hope of some light.. So to speak

    Thanks mate appreciate the info.
Ok I did the basic checks, took plugs out cranked the motor, no spark at plugs, plugs have 1000ks, leads are new.
Fuel getting through, no pressure in fuel tank.
It is beyond my comprehension as well!, so off to mechanic.
    Thanks again

Thanks for the info, just wanna say I'm not a quitter, but it drove me insane, and the battery was going flat from trying all different things, and trying to kick it over.

so I got to the point where I just wanna get it going so I can ride, this weather is so good, and I'm without my sporty!

now going to blow the weekend as well!, and the bike is all I got! So here comes a flat weekend!
